1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Cast all your care upon Him for He careth for you.

Greetings In Grace,

And blessings be multiplied unto you in the favor of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ. I thank God for His continual lovingkindness and faithfulness even toward us. One of my favorite scriptures is 2 Timothy 2:13, it states “if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” It’s a reminder that God is constant and doesn’t change, in an everchanging world and in our transitions in life. Let’s press in to His faithfulness.

The word humble (G5013) in the passage above means to bring low, lower, depress, assign a lower rank, bring ones soul(mind 🧠, will, emotions) down of its pride, think modestly/less of self. I heard someone say it like this it doesn’t mean to think of yourself as less but to think less of yourself. Then it says under the mighty (powerful) hand of God. This makes my heart ♥️ leap with joy because in the last post we were talking about feeling/touch, and God’s ability to be touched by our infirmity/ weakness, and to touch us back to impart into us His strength. When we allow God to bring us under His power, direction, and guidance He will lead us in THE WAY.

Let’s talk about some practical ways of humbling ourself. The first thing is making up in our mind that we are going to give our lives over to Him. The bible 📖 says we cannot save ourselves, Salvation only comes through Jesus. John 14:16 Jesus said to him, ” I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” If we believe in our ♥️hearts and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord we receive His eternal salvation. If you are reading this and are considering giving your life to Jesus I both encourage and admonish you to DO IT! I am going to attach a prayer 🙏🏽 of salvation at the end of this post, feel free(literally & figuratively) to use and/or share it.

Take note we are not saved by works (see!!! Ephesians 2:8-10), yet when we are saved there are works that come with and aid us in walking 🚶🚶🏽‍♀️out our salvation (victory, help, health, safety). These works done in sincerity of heart are ways in which we humble ourselves under God’s hand: prayer, fasting, hearing/reading/meditating/studying God’s word, serving/considering others, sacrificial giving, etc. For these are all things God has instructed us to do in His word (by His leading/strength/power) as a means of turning us away from the worlds wrong 🚫way of doing things, unto his perfect way. As we continuously turn towards God, seeking Him first, we continually grow, advance, and prosper as He changes our heart(see 2 Corinthians 3:18).

Now let’s look at the word exalt. It comes from the Greek word hypsoo (G5312) meaning to lift up, elevate, exalt, to raise to opulence, prosperity, honor, dignity, and happiness. The passage goes on to say in due ⏰time, meaning the proper/set time. One of the most important concepts i’m learning in life is time & place. Have you ever heard the saying being at the wrong place at the wrong time? Well just as that saying goes there is a such thing as being in the right ✅ place at the right time. And when we allow God to lead & guide us He always leads us in the right direction. 🧭

This is why Jesus prayed to the Father during one of His most agonizingly painful moments, if you be willing remove this cup far from me, nevertheless NOT MY WILL , BUT THY WILL BE DONE. At that moment Jesus felt all the feels, 😩 as this Generation would say, and the weight of every ungodly sin pressing on his body & soul that we would ever commit. Yet He knew no sin, He is righteous in every way! But He chose to take our failures, flaws, and mistakes upon Himself so that we would be set free from everything that holds us ⬇️down & back. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelations 12:11).

I find great comfort in the part of the passage that states, casting our cares on Him for He cares for us. The word care there means through the idea of distraction. In a time where there are so many things pressing to cause us to take our 👁️ focus off God’s Way, we must come pray like Jesus for willful determination to yield and keep our eyes on the prize. The prize is everything on the other side of where we are now, that God has promised 🌈 us (more peace, joy, love, blessings, glory, understanding, breakthrough, etc.). My friend God never runs out of goodness and He wants to 💝 gift us with it. When we trust Him with everything He exchanges our current reality for a greater one.

C.I.A. Call in Action: 💭 Ponder what things/cares have been distracting us from spending time under God’s guiding? Let’s pray 🙏🏽 and ask God for strength to surrender and strategy to press in and on to greater.

Grace, Love, And Mercy (G.L.A.M.)

Feeling Some Kind….Of Way

Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Psalm 63:4-5
The Path of Logic?

Greetings in Grace Kings Kids,

Hope that this letter message finds you well. I speak blessing upon blessings over you, and stand 🙌🏽 touching & agreeing in the power of the Holy Spirit that it (ALL) is well with our souls!! Excuse my tardiness, last we spoke Winter was making its final appearance, but praise be to God Spring 🌺🌿 is here! I thank God for every season, for each has it’s own signifigance, but if in all transparency Winters are usually really hard for me. I live in the Chicagoland region and our cold is cold ❄️, and in addition to that there are shorter periods of daylight. And for someone with a Vitamin D (sunlight) deficiency it at time really affects my mood & momentum! Keep me lifted! 🙏🏽

Nevertheless, as the Apostle Paul stated, forgetting those things which are behind and REACHING 🙋🏽‍♀️ forth unto those things which are before (phil 3:13). Which is the perfect transition into todays post. We have been talking about the senses in our last few posts. In grade school we learned these 5 to be taste 😋, sight👁️, hearing👂🏽, touch✋🏼, and smell👃 . Recently I’ve been pondering on touch/feel/feeling. The scripture says we don’t have a High Priest (Jesus) who is unable to be touched by the feeling of our infirmities/weakness (Hebrew 4:15). Ohh do I thank God for that!

As I was gazing through the scriptures I came across numerous times where Jesus being moved with compassion released healing & strength to those that touched Him. Some touched Him directly and others touched Him indirectly, but either way it was their faith reaching into Him as the cure that caused them to be made whole. The word touch translates in Greek G680 aptomai which means to attach, fasten oneself to, cling to, adhere. When I read this my mind was so comforted in the thought of being able to be attached to God.

I then decided to dig a little deeper and look into the words feel and feeling, which are associated with touch. There were a few different translations & meanings for both, but for the sake of time I will just list 📝 a few that really STOOD OUT. Feel = G5584 pselaphao to handle, mentally to seek after, verify by contact, manipulate. Feel= H995 bi^n to separate mentally, distinguish, to understand. Feeling = G4834 sumpatheo to feel sympathy, have compassion. There are also some translations that have more of negative connotation to them such as to be apathetic and injure, but we will touch on those in a later post.

With these definitions in mind I realize why David (a man of many emotions)😩🤩😭😱would constantly command his soul (mind, will, emotions) to kneel or take a knee before God. He was acknowledging God’s sovereign rank above ☝🏽 all his feels, from depair to terror to cheer. I too can relate to at times my mind, will, and emotions being a rollercoaster 🎢 ride of right & wrong feelings. But thank God for the power of His word & Spirit to bring me/us into sobriety. Even as David cried Lord restore me unto the joy of thy salvation and unhold me with thy free spirit (psalm 51:12).

And my friend there has not been one time that in bowing 🙇🏽‍♀️ before/touching our maker that He did not (in His compassion) wittingly guide me into the Way (Him). As I was typing this I’m reminded of something my Father in the gospel often says, God was fully aware of everything about us, and everything that we would ever do when he called/chose us. Nevertheless, it’s a genuine pursuit/seek in humility that God desires/requires. One of my fav scripture is Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?

If I can be honest with you friend there have been times past where I really was straddling the line of trying to earn God’s grace vs pressing towards the mark. Until I realized that’s simply not 🛑 truth, but an impossible lie. Our righteousness is filthy rags and void/empty. It’s not until we allow the Word/Jesus to permiate our hearts ❤️ that we are changed. I’m always in awe of how when I stand on/in the Word, things are steady. However, on the contrary when my feet are hitting the ground running with life i’m weary. 😮‍💨

So what’s our C.I.A. (call in action) for today forward? Wake up & Word Up! Bow and make contact with the lover and restorer of our soul!

P.S. 🔜 Coming Soon ….

Grace & Peace XOXOXO ~Glam Chic~

Prayer 🙏🏽

Dear Father,

Thank you for your goodness. Cause us to recognize it in our day to day living. Forgive us for the times we were blinded by prideful cares that didn’t allow us to see You. We desire to set our gaze upon you that we would be changed into the image that we see. Teach us how to guard and guide our tongue and eyes from things that cause us to stray. Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts ❤️ be acceptable in your sight oh Lord our redeemer.

We speak 🗣️ the word of truth that produces good fruit in our lives and those around us. We will use our tongue to build up and not to destroy. Forgive and cleanse us from gossip, idolatry, lust, envy, jealousy, greed and all forms of carnal/deadly actions. And as we turn away from those things we know that you see us and keep us as the apple 🍎 of your 👁️ eye. Again we give you thanks praise glory and honor. In Jesus name we pray Amen!

Oh! 😋Taste and 👀See!

But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. ~~~ Hebrew 5:14

Greetings in Grace Kings Kids,

Happy & Prosperous New Year. 🎉🙌🏽 I pray that this post finds you & yours well, and ready to receive every good thought that God thinks towards you of hope & a future. I’ve recently been pondering on the subject of the senses.

Near the shift of every season my kingdom family takes time to pray and fast our way into the next. These appointed (set apart) times have always been a blessing to my spirit, soul, and body. Some who may come across this post might ask, well what is prayer and fasting? It is a 👑 Kingdom principle given to us by God to help us to be more connected with Him. During this time we deny ourself our daily need/pleasure of food & other earthly affairs (especially distractions/disconnectors) in order to reconnect & draw closer to God.

And as with any scientifically proven principle, when done correctly it yields astronomical results. 🤯 So much good I can say about it, but for the sake of time i’m going to list a few benefits i’ve experienced in times prior. I’d also like to invite you to please reach out on the blogs 📧 contact page if you would like to gain access to our seasonal virtual (completely remote) Prayer & Fasting gatherings (you won’t be disappointed)! So back to the spirit, soul, and body benefits here’s a list: increased ability to see, hear, and respond to God’s voice, reveals & resolves residue & issues of the heart/mind, changes to the body at a molecular level/improves health, and more!

It just makes sense, literally & figuratively. As humans we are most often driven by our senses. These include taste, sight, 👂🏽sound, touch, smell. Think about it we are usually drawn to that which registers good with our senses, and drawn away from that which registers bad.🚦Just as we do this naturally we also have the ability to do this spiritually. Once we receive Jesus as our Lord and savior we receive His spirit, who then takes residence in us (see 1 Corinthians 6:19). Just like any person, Holy Spirit, has senses. For instance the bible talks about Holy Spirit grieving (Ephesians 4:30).

The bible also says our outward man is perishing but our inward man is being renewed day by day (see 2 Corinthians 4:16). Just as we have to tend to our natural man(body) in order for it to function at maximum results we have to do the same with our spirit man. 🏆 This includes a healthy diet, exercise, cleaning/proper hygiene, proper attire to protect it, etc. Because the natural is a similitude/reflection of the spiritual it works in a similar manner. We have to work out our soul salvation with fear & trembling. 🙇‍♂️🙇🏽‍♀️And it’s day by day, step by step (Galatians 6:8 & Philippians 2:12).

1 Timothy 4:8 talks about how physical exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for everything. The more time we spend exercising in the spirit the stronger & sharper He we will grow in us. God said it like this to me one day we can have a p.o.e. mindset/life 🧠 or a g.r.o.e. mindset/life (product of environment/experiences or God rewrites our experience). My friend this is GREAT news! 📰 Because guess what, life happens. We all were born into sin, some bad choices inside(us) & out(others), the effects of them, and an agenda/hit out on us from the enemy to steal/kill/destroy us. BUT GOD! John 10:10

Good News Flash: The fight is fixed, the fight is fixed, the fight is fixed!!! 🥊All we have to do is go through the training, show up, and press in. Greater is He who is us than He that is in the world (1 john 4:4). ❓Do we at times get weary, of course. In those moments breath and remember we’ve got the best sparring partner ever! Rest, Refresh, Reset, Re Up!

In the Next 💌 Post Let’s Dive In To How Our Senses Can Be Used In Our Favor (or not 😩)!

Greetings in Grace ❤️ Beloved Ones,

Happy new season. We’re a little over a month into the Spring 🌷season and I hope things are springing forward for you and your loved ones. I am excited about the renewing, refreshing, reviving, and restoring that’s breaking forth in/throughout the 🌎 earth. Even in the midst of the worlds darkness God’s grace love and mercy continues to triumph! Which brings me right into the peculiar treasure 💝 for this month.

I am so grateful to God that the revealed nature/persons of Jesus Christ is both an anchor ⚓️and lighthouse💡🏡 there to securely guide us continuously. I’ve been reflecting on this during this season where we celebrate the death, resurrection, and ascension of our Lord & Savior. One of the supplications that I keep before the Lord is open the eyes of my understanding that I would know you. It makes me cringe a little when I come across the scripture (Matthew 7:22) that speaks about many coming to Him saying I did “this” in your name and “that” in your name and His response being depart from me, I never knew you.

If there is anything we must return to as a whole it’s the fear of the Lord. This not a cowering fear that causes us to stray away but a respect and honor that causes to 🏃🏽‍♀️run to, kneel🧎🏽‍♀️, and bow 🙇🏽‍♀️ before our Holy God. In this we receive the wisdom that leads us to know Know and Understand. One of my favorite scriptures is Hebrews 11:6 that speaks of the importance in believing/Faith in who He is and being rewarded for seeking Him. In a time where so much information is easily accessible to us, it’s easy to get drawn away by distractions that take our attention off the ONE who knows all things, in pursuit of other things.

I’m not speaking against learning new things. 🧠Knowledge is power. However, as a generation we at times become too “smart” for our own good. Impressed with our track record of degrees, skills, and accomplishments all the while forsaking the Truth that sets us free. I love what my Grand Papa in the gospel simply states “Read your 📖bible and 🙏🏽 pray for the understanding.” I’m finding as time goes on with my word journey my heart/eyes are being opened more and more to things I didn’t notice before.

In the beginning was the word! And our Lord Jesus is the Word made flesh, the lamb slain before the foundation of the world. There is no way we can walk in the complete victory God created for us to walk without the Word being at the forefront of our lives. The bible says meditate in my WORD day and night and THEN you will make your way prosperous and have GOOD success (Joshua 1:8). We will find that when we ask God to help us make this a daily practice we receive the instructions, strength, and courage to Win daily. This contending is what the bible calls the GOOD FIGHT of FAITH!

When we do this our hearts/minds become realigned(one) with the heart/mind of Christ so that we can 🚶🏽‍♀️walk in manifested 🙌🏽 victory in every area of our life. He(JESUS) is the who, what, when, where, why, and how of our LIFE. 💡Remember….He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to them that know understanding.

Friend in a world where lose seems to be everywhere we turn, we must get be clothed in Christ/the Word, 🛡⚔️ armored up, and ready for battle! Let’s end on this 📍note….

Matthew 16:25 AMP “For whoever wishes to save his life [in this world] will [eventually] lose it [through death], but whoever loses his life [in this world] for My sake will find it [that is, life with Me for all eternity].”

Gift…Ed

Greetings in Grace Beloved,

I hope this post finds you well spirit, soul, and body. One of my favorite scriptures to pray when I intercede for God’s people(including myself) is 3 John 1:2. It reads, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.” This reminds that His plans for us are complete good, and no matter what we face it’s all working together for good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. That’s one of the many benefits of being a Kings kids 👑 .

So this past month i’ve been meditating on the gifts of God and studying the fruit of the spirit Love. The bible says we are to pursue love ❤️ and desire gifts. Since everything we have received is from love(God) then everything we give/do ought to be motivated by the same. Including the sharing of our gifts. My friend i’m learning this isn’t something we can do in our strength it takes His heart & spirit to love like God. It’s a lot easier said than done, especially when it’s not returned or isn’t received. However, God’s love isn’t conditional.

Fruit check ✔️check the ones you could improve on & ask God for grace to): Love is patient ⭕️, kind ⭕️, doesn’t envy ⭕️, boast ⭕️, dishonor ⭕️, keep record of wrongs ⭕️ , isn’t proud ⭕️, self seeking ⭕️, or easily angered ⭕️…How did you do? Not so great? It’s ok let’s just take some time to SELAH(pause) 🛑and ask 🙏🏽 God for more grace.

So I was looking at the scripture that said He led captivity captive and gave gifts unto men (psalm 68:18 & Ephesians 4:8). I am so grateful that God didn’t leave us in our own hands, mans hands, or the hand of the enemy. Instead he defeated everything that came to hold us captive and gave us gifts to fight the good fight. For God is not a man/human, he is faithful in ALL HIS WAYS and WORDS! This is why i’m learning how to put my trust in HIM TOTALLY. Because when we trust Him it causes our hearts/minds to receive everything He has for us and our actions/life to align with it.

See the gifts of God are without repentance, meaning He doesn’t take away His love, kindness, or any other gift He gave us. And because we have free will we can use or misuse the gifts according to our desires. Yet, we have to remember whatever we sow/give into we will receive it back. This works good or bad. The word says if we sow into the flesh(our thoughts/ways) we get corruption but if we sow into the spirit we get life. There is a God purpose/plan/ will/way for our life that we can ONLY get access to through giving God our hearts.

Yes it is going to require us to give up some of our human ways to follow Him, BUT IT’S SO WORTH IT!!! There is nothing we will ever give to God that He doesn’t give us better!! One of my constant prayers is God give me eyes that see, and ears that hear what the spirit of the Lord is saying to His church(us), and a heart that receives/trusts & obeys. The more we seek God through building a relationship with Him, the more we are changed into the image of Himself that He shows us in those moments. Now that my friend is #Goals (Think/Sound/Look like… Jesus)!

Fashion(ed) For Word

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance as our way of life.

Ephesians 2:10
YODH. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments. Psalm 119:73

Greetings in Grace and Happy Holy Days,

May the Lord bless, keep, and cause His face to shine upon you & your family, during this time where we acknowledge the birth of our beautiful 😍 Lord/Savior and celebrate the New Year 🥳! It’s a special time and season, worthy of celebration 🎉! I know some may say well it’s not for me, due to loss of a ❤️ one, broken family, painful memories, etc. but I encourage you to remember God Loves you through it and has a purposeful plan for your life! Now that’s the Good News 😁🤩! Rise & Shine ✨

The other day the story of the lame man sitting at the pool of Bethesda came to me(John 5). The Bible said he had been in that sickly condition for 38 years until Jesus stepped on the scene. I want to encourage someone who feels like it’s been this way for so long that there’s no hope/way And I can’t continue on. Let Jesus step in! He’s got this, with man (you, me, them, us) it is impossible but with God(HIM, I AM, ABBA, JESUS) ALL things are possible (that’s the word).

The problem is we sometimes give ourselves and everything else way too much credit. When in actuality, it ALL belongs to Him. We just have to learn how/when to get out of God’s way and Let Him be God! The Bible says all things were created by Him, for Him, and He is reconciling all things to Himself. The ultimate soul purpose of man is God. Jesus died/is risen that we could be reconnected to the Father. Even now He sits at the right hand interceding(pleading) for us to be filled with/by His goodness.

The story God has written for us did not start or end with us. The word says He is the author and finisher of our faith. So why do we so often try to narrate the story instead of asking God to lead us and guide us? My friend He wants us to walk with Him so closely and trust Him so deeply that No Thing by any means shall harm us! He’s given us everything we need to successfully complete this journey.

Not to get off topic but if you know me, I really like clothes/ fashion. It’s something about a well put together outfit that really catches my 👁. So one day I didn’t really have plans, but God was like get up & dress up. I didn’t know where I was headed but I looked through my closet and put on a nice skirt, shirt, and boots. Next thing I know I ended up going somewhere really upscale, and along the way finding a gorgeous piece of furniture for my office. At that moment God gave me a glimpse of where I was going. I laughed because I was glad to be dressed for the occasion.

The Bible mentions talks about being clothed in Christ, His righteousness, salvation, humility, the armor of God. It gives a beautiful illustration of a bride being well put together for her husband. The question we must ask ourselves is will we(his church) be dressed for our husband(Jesus)? I know the world considers being fashion forward the ability to keep up with the next big trend. But my friend we aren’t called to be of this world. Let’s Rise to the occasion…. and show up in style!

XOXOXO ❤️ Grace Love and Mercy

Greetings, Grace & Glory King’s Kids, 👸🏽🤴🏽👸🏼🤴🏼🤴🏾👸🏾

Happy New Year 🎉, Black History Month🇿🇦, and soon to be L💗Ve Day (3 of my fav’s). I’m learning that no matter what season you may find yourself in there is always a reaSON to rejoice! The Apostle Paul in the bible said it like this; I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:12-13 TPT).

Beginning around the holiday season in November continuing throughout the winter months many people suffer with episodes/bouts of depression. According to the ADAA 40 million adults in the US alone suffer from some form of anxiety disorder. Which although saddening it wasn’t very surprising seeing as how we live in the age and culture of moving fast….can’t be last type mentality. But what i’ve come to find out my friend is that there is a higher way. Praise God (LoL Literally) !!! 🙌🏽

Disclaimer Alert ⚠️ There is no biblical escape clause that grants us a free pass against suffering. In fact there are many scripture that confirm that as a believer (or not) we will suffer but there are also scriptures that tell us how to and why we endure suffering. It’s important that we hold on and press into God so that it produces a greater glory/light in us, instead of running away and doing things that take us out of Gods will/desire for us.

After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace (who imparts His blessing and favor), who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be]

1 Peter 5:10 AMP

The best part about suffering with and/or for God is that it’s not without purpose and He brings us out if we let Him lead us. In my last post I mentioned that when we humble ourselves God grants us grace(devine ❤️ influence and power to be💥) FYI also in 1 Peter 5 (great read)! In order to grow through suffering vs just continuing to go through we need God to give us a grace and wisdom to overcome. These gifts and many more are given free to us because Jesus payed the price, yet being a disciple does have a cost (obedience to His word, will and way). Nevertheless, IT’S WORTH IT (Fruit&Favor vs Sin & Shame)!!

😍 Mentioning Fruit and Favor I Am so excited because starting this month I will be seeking, studying, and sharing on the Fruits of the Spirit found in Galations 5. The Devine 9 😍❣️{side note}

One of my favorite verses is 2 Chronicles 7:14 it’s one of those everyday any situation type scriptures that I like to keep close. If my people who are called by my name would Humble themselves and Pray, Seek my FACE (not hand), turn from their wicked ways 😖 (repent), then He will hear from heaven and heal the land. God took Israel through the wilderness to humble them and its no different today! God delights in brokeness, us yielding ourselves to Him more and more. Sometimes we can be so focused on what we want we forget to consider what Father wants from us. 😔

Each day lets endeavor together to turn to God, seek Him whole heartedly, and yield to His guiding. He has given us all that we need in order to have Life and Godliness. Apart from God we merely exist and go through the motions (up, down, in, out). With God we press onward and grow through our journey with the expectation of the Joy on the other side (on earth & in heaven) as we enter into His presence.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Romans 8:18 NKJV

If..God Be For US?

Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and BE clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due timecasting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:5-7 *************************************************************************

Greetings Fellow Kings Kids,

What a Blessing, Privilege, and Honor to be called a Son or Daughter! During my time with the Lord this morning He brought me back to a topic and verse I had planned to write about a while ago but never felt like the time was right. Then I came across a song on YouTube called Humility by one of my favorite worship teams UPPERROOM and it blessed my soul. I will post it at the end so that you can check it out, you won’t be disappointed! The song, a series of conversations, and world events confirmed that this was indeed a relevant NOW word for where we are as a whole!

As I was looking at the title of this post and the scripture above certain words stood out as if they jumped off the page. The first one being IF. When I looked up the definition of IF I found; (introducing a conditional clause) on the condition or supposition that; in the event that. We often quote that scripture if God be for us who could be against us when we find ourselves faced with some form of opposition that’s meant to stop us from going forward BUT what if God is the one opposing us? Let me take a moment to clarify that God is and always will be GOOD, JUST, LOVING, and UNCHANGING! HE IS the only constant in an ever changing world. Nevertheless, there are times when God may resist us when we are unwilling to YIELD to HIS word, will, and way.

There are multiple instances in the bible where we see this. When God gives us an instruction it’ s to our benefit and never to hurt or harm us. His plans for us are GREAT! He knows what we need and how every one will come to pass. In His infinite knowledge (knowing everything) He allows us to experience certain things in order to draw us nearer and see HIM clearer. I’m reminded of the disciple turned apostle Peter who rejected Jesus’s words when He told them He was going to die and be brought back (Matthew 16: 21-28). Jesus responded Get Behind me Satan. At that moment Peter was more concerned with his way than God’s.

There are times in life where God will allow us to experience things that bring us to our knees, cause pain, and even suffering for a greater purpose and to BREAK our will. It’s not that He withholds everything from as some form of punishment, but their is just a certain posture that causes us to receive his desires for us. The bible says to not despise Humble beginnings. These moments of humbling keep us from being lifted up in pride which destroys. Our daily time in prayer and the word with God is a form of us humbling and yielding ourselves to our Father. This posture says to the Father I NEED YOU DAILY TO LEAD ME!

God knows our heart, the “good”, bad, and the ugly. Although we would all love to believe we have “good” hearts the word says our hearts are wicked and deceitful, WHO could know it? This is why We need to come before God Daily to create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit. We’re ALL a mess in our flesh (Fearful, Anxious, Proud, Selfish, Jealous, Ungrateful and Sin-FULL) apart from HIM! Even in all that He still loves us so much that He desires to be with us and has provided a way of escape from ourselves IN HIM! PRAISE THE LORD!!!! IF we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us of all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Oh Give Thanks unto the Lord For He is Good AND His Mercy Endures Forever! During this time/season where we gather in thanksgiving, let’s remind ourselves that we ought to BE THANKFUL to God! In God’s MERCY He doesn’t give us what we really deserve (unfavorable judgment) and in His GRACE & LOVE He gives us what we don’t (FAVOR, Blessings). And in knowing this lets abandon our will and way to His!

Grace Love And Mercy , XOXOXO
