So we have a little over 3 months left of 2020 and what a year it’s been.!? Praying God’s peace and prosperity to you in a time where fear and famine has been sweeping the land. One day in my quiet time I heard the word PANDEMONIUM, meaning wild and noisy disorder or confusion; uproar. The definition so perfectly described our current world situation. Nevertheless BE encouraged GOD IS faithful and ALL His promises are yes and amen (it is done)!

Have you ever experienced a moment or moments in your life where things where so crazy that it felt like you were in a movie? If you have you know exactly what I mean and if you haven’t… that day is coming. The Bible tells us we will have troubles on earth 🌏 but it also says that it will get better. 🙌🏼🙌🏽 Even when better days doesn’t seem true, IT IS! And when it seems that way we have to seek comfort in our Father, His Son, and Spirit.

Remember suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope (Romans 5:3-4). After we suffer a while God establishes, strengthens, and settles us (1 Peter 5:10). IDK about you but the a while part, at times can be wearisome! During those times I search out and remind myself of God’s promises for my life. God already has ALL the answers, we just have to seek them.

It is truly a day to day (moment to moment) process, and the more time we spend with God, meditating on His word, the less complicated it becomes. That place of TRUST and OBEDIENCE is what the scripture above in Hebrews calls the realm of rest. And oh my friend what a beautiful place it is when we take our eyes 👀 off us and put them on God! It’s not always easy but by Gods grace it’s reachable. This is why the word calls it the good fight of faith.

Unfortunately many times we fail to enter into rest because of fear/doubt, unbelief, and the cares of this life. However, this doesn’t have to be our reality TODAY friend. Jesus died so that we could live a faith-rest life. When we lose our life (aka trust and obey Yahweh) we gain new life but when we hold on to our life we Lose. Whatever we face He ALWAYS is The (ONLY) WAY, LIFE, and TRUTH.

God’s Plan

“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”

For the month of August God placed it on my heart to journey through the book of proverbs. One of the first things I try to be mindful of before posting, speaking, and/or acting is to ask God what would He like me to do or say. There are times when it’s clear to me what He’s speaking and other times when it’s as if I hear nothing. Lol I’m sure everyone can testify of moments where it really wasn’t clear what God was saying or that it seems as if He is silent. Learning to hear and distinguish the voice of God is truly a process.

I’m learning that God speaks to us in different ways and also gives us confirmation that it’s Him. The more we become familiar with the Father’s voice the more easily we are able to recognize when He is speaking. Prayer/consecration, the word of God, and Godly teachers/counsel strengthen our ability to hear more clearly. One way of knowing it’s God is He will send confirmation and it ALWAYS aligns with His word! God will never speak anything that goes against His word. This is why it’s so important for us to spend time reading and learning the bible. It makes us less likely to be led in the wrong direction.

God has so many good things stored up for each of us! The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it (proverbs 10:22). He daily thinks thoughts toward us of good to give us hope and a future. It’s the enemies job to try to convince us to believe otherwise with his tricks, schemes, and lies. The less time we spend taking in God’s thoughts the more open we are to the enemies and our own. But God’s thoughts and ours are different, His are higher, and the enemy is a liar!!!!!!! One of my favorite scriptures Proverbs 3:5 says Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, Lean not unto your own understanding, acknowledge Him in ALL your ways and He will direct your path.

His wisdom is infinite (without limits)! He knows and see’s EVERYTHING, much more than we can. In fact He foreknew us before we were even formed in our mothers womb. Even then He had a plan and purpose already set for us. As long as we stay the course, seek, and live according to His way there is no way we can lose! At times it may be difficult but God gives us supernatural power (like a super hero) to succeed and mighty weapons to fight the battles we face. All we have to do is receive and obey His instructions.

Just like a piece of coal goes through a process to become a diamond, the Father takes us through a transformation process to advance our lives. When we love God and are called by Him we can rejoice in the fact that no matter what we go(grow) through it’s going to work together for good. He is the Author and Finisher of our Faith!!!!!!

Dearly Beloved, God is Faithful!

When looking up the word faithful it listed these words loyal, constant, true to the facts or the original. He is the same yesterday, today, and forevermore. There is nothing more comforting than to know that no matter what may change God will FOREVER remain the same. Let’s face it there are so many things around us that are falling apart, we are truly living in uncertain, unseen, chaotic times. But God is a very present help in the time of need and in the time of trouble.

In biblical times there were mass wars, killings and violence, sickness/plagues (that took the lives of many), and times of famine; much of what we are seeing today. During these times the people in desperation would turn towards God and cry out for help and God would respond.

Even in my personal life I have seen God’s hand rescue me during the most difficult times of my life, from sickness, financial struggles, to dealing with the heartache of broken relationships and life’s disappointments. God allows these things to happen that we would turn to Him to reveal Himself as the answer. His goodness and His mercy endures forever. All we have to do is come to Him as children would to a Father.

When asking God what He wanted me to write about after 3 months of not writing I heard the word Mercy. Even with this worldwide pandemic we’re facing this word has been on my heart quite a bit. I couldn’t help but smile when I looked up the definition of mercy in my bible dictionary app. It means kindness or good towards the miserable and the afflicted, joined with the desire to help them, compassion. If we know it or not we NEED God ALWAYS. God desires to show us mercy (kindness, goodness, help).

His Mercy allows us to continue on each day, although we don’t deserve it. No matter where we find ourselves God is able, willing, and desiring for us to return to His goodness. In fact He suffered and died for it, He took the weight of everything we face in this life on Him to rescue us from it and cause us to Rise (just like He did). I pray that God would breath LIFE into everything that seems to be falling apart in and around you/us today! In the Name of Jesus!

With it being this time of year where we celebrate and give thanks for the many blessings that He has given us, God laid it on my heart to do a post about giving. The bible says that God loves a cheerful giver, but let’s just be honest there are times when giving can be very difficult. There are times when things require more time, resources, and/or energy than we expected, with seemingly no return but in those times we have to remember His Grace is sufficient.

One of my favorite books of the bible is Ecclesiastes, it’s filled with simple life altering wisdom. In the 7th chapter verse 14 it says in the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider. There are days/times/seasons where things flow smoothly, on the contrary there are days quite the opposite. The word consider comes from the hebrew ra’ah meaning to see, look, inspect, to have vision. In unpleasant times perspective is everything. I often ask God to give me eyes to see what He desires me to see beyond my current struggle and the faith to grow through it, and He always does.

One definition of grace is God’s power that influences our hearts to be able to do things we can’t and wouldn’t do in our own strength. The word says that God gives grace to the humble. The more we acknowledge our need for Him and in that need seek after Him, He gives us more grace. When we do this it says God you know more, I let go and give this to you, teach me what’s right. The giving of ourselves to God is the best gift exchange EVER!

“This walk is a day to day thing so we never get to a place where God isn’t growing us. “ We should ever be learning.

Grace also means rewards, gifts, and favor. God blesses us that we would in turn be a blessing to others. When we give it shows that we trust and know God is our source. This is important to keep in our foresight during times of struggle where we feel forgotten or that our labor in love is in vain. And in times where we feel drained we can always go to God for Him to pour out what we need.

We are living during a time where being self focused is often celebrated but God teaches just the opposite. What i’ve come to find is when I make God and service my priority He takes care of me, and it benefits everyone. It truly is more blessed to give than to receive. God increases those that make giving a lifestyle. Don’t believe fear and lack that tells us we won’t have enough or that our giving is vain. We can trust obeying God in our giving.

Luke 6:38 Give and it shall be given unto you: good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye give it shall be given to you. If it’s something you feel that you lack, give it. I realized that many times the struggles that I faced give me a greater understanding for those dealing with similar things. Hence the saying your misery is often your ministry. God will give you a grace in that area which will increase you and others.

I want to end with encouragement. Know that God makes ALL things work together for Good for them that love Him and called according to His purpose. You may not see it now but one day you will look back and understand why God took you the way that He did. His ways are Higher! PEACE LOVE JOY ♡

Ya’ll I am so ecstatic about this …my first official blog post ohhhh Kayyyy! God is so faithful and A M A Z I N G!

We are constantly bombarded with images of the hottest, latest, and greatest trends of popular culture. It’s easy to begin to compare your life to the images you see if you aren’t mindful. However friend don’t beLIEve the ILLusion most of what we see on social media and TV is designed to cause us to feel/fill a void. (YOU HAVE & ARE ENOUGH!)

I asked God what’s the solution and He answered with a very simple illustration. He showed me the word competition and said remove the word “it” (it being whatever “it” is that you desire and/or are passionate about) and add the letter L between p & e. When I did that I got the word COMPLETION. He then said L stands for love (God’s Love). See when we realize that His Love COMPLETES us we know that GOD IS ALL we truly need.

This is why the bible says seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added. The world tells us the opposite go after money, relationships, careers, cars, homes, etc. (things). But there is a place in you no person or thing can satisfy that will always be empty until you let God fill/feel you. Love God more than everything and others as yourself.

♥♥ Compet(it)ion – (it) + L (love) = CompLetion ♥♥

The enemy knows that when our focus is on being, doing, and having more than it is on Him, the one who causes us to be, do, and have…. we will spend our days living for those things. Whatever has most control of your time, energy, affection, and resources has your heart. However things, people, circumstances change and will never be enough to save us. When we put our trust in things that aren’t secure our lives will reflect that, we’ll find ourselves in cycles, stuck in existing versus living.

When we give God our time, energy, affection, and resources He begins to fill our hearts with His peace, love, and joy. Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. Meaning He will put desires in your heart and give them to you. God knows you want that business, career, position, relationship, car, etc, and guess what many times he wants you to have it too (at the right time) as long as it isn’t your god.

Be secure in God! Trusting that He has your life already planned out. Be anxious (in a rush) for nothing, pray and be thankful about everything. This allows you to experience God’s peace. When you find yourself dealing with something ask God what He wants you to learn/see. Everything you experience is preparing you for the next.

The last beautiful illustration God showed me was a puzzle. Each piece is cut, printed, and sealed by the maker. All the pieces are unique in shape, color, and size. Yet each piece is designed to fit into the puzzle to create the finished work. We all have a piece to the puzzle. Let God cut, mark, seal, and place you exactly where you fit. You are custom and handmade by the creator of ALL things ♥♥♥

Thank you for taking the time out of your journey to visit my blog. I hope that you come across something on here that inspires you to be a light in a dark world. When you hear glam you more than likely think Hollywood, luxury, extravagance. In fact the definition of the word glam is charming, attractive, and beautiful. Although this is a beauty blog the distinction is that in the kingdom we believe that beauty is inside (heart) first and then outward (appearance). Whereas the world focuses on the latest trends in fashion, makeup, and culture; the kingdom focuses on character, fruitfulness, and Christ. The bible says that we should not be conformed to this world but be transformed through the renewing of our minds(hearts). This blog is designed to be a place of renewal, refreshing, and reviving; what I like to call “beautification”.

God created each one of us in His image and likeness. We were all handmade by God for a specific purpose. As we allow God to take us through our “beautification” process we are transformed into His beautiful masterpiece. Just like a work of art our uniqueness, flaws, and blemishes make us authentic, telling the story of our process. This blog is designed to celebrate the beauty of walking in the attributes of our creator. My prayer is that you are encouraged to let God’s grace, love, and mercy shine through you also! By the way i’m a fashion & design student so there will be posts/sections dedicated on here to natural GLAM as well!
